Obituary of Margaret (Peggy) Valiquette (nee Winsor)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Margaret (Peggy) Valiquette. Having just celebrated her 84th birthday, she passed peacefully in her sleep on December 29th, 2025. Born in Buckingham, Quebec, she was the daughter of Roy Harold Winsor and Gwyneth Graham Harrison. She will forever be cherished by her 4 children Dan (Cecilia), Johanne, Don (Muriel) and Dianne (Andre). Her spirit lives on in her 10 grandchildren Jessica (Matt), Eric, Joseph, Samantha (Jason), Sydnee (Joey), Gwyneth (Mitch), Nathan (Brandy), Matthew, Jacob (Sandy) and Izabela (Jesse), and 8 great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Blaine, Azaelia, Vivian, Lennox, Luella, Chloe & Eliza. Step-grandmother to Jason and step-great grandmother to Ellie.  Our mother is also survived by her brothers Don (Marthe) and Alan, and her sister Sue. Also many sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Pawma to Mac & Suki.  Special mention to her cousin Bryon (Anthony) who watched over her right up to the end. Bryon, Anthony and Mom shared a passion for family, and exercised that passion through genealogy. It consumed her for the past 30+ years.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday January 31, 2026 at the Pinecrest Remembrance  Chapel located at 2500 Baseline Rd, Ottawa,ON. K2C 3H9.
