The loss of a child at such a young age is tragic. You were blessed with his beautiful soul for a reason, and I believe the beautiful soul lives on. He’s now at peace and with angels and loved ones. Joshua was incredibly smart with such an old soul. He was quick with a smile with that little twinkle in his eyes, which I will always remember - especially those Terry Fox runs when I'd rush across the street to sneak him some candy! I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. I hope you feel surrounded by the love and can find strength to carry you through the days ahead. Please know that I am here for you in any way you may need.

In my first week of knowing Josh, he had given me a fire extinguisher and a water filter. It wasn’t that I needed either of those things. it was just the kind of person he was. Always thinking of others, always ready to give, to share, and to help in any way he could. Josh was the kind of guy who shared his joy freely. If you were feeling low, he’d be right there beside you. The world feels a little dimmer without him in it. But I can’t help but smile imagining the kinds of debates he’s probably having in heaven.

Joshua was good friends with my son Chad Andersen. Chad died in a motorcycle accident July 7, 2022. Joshua reached out to his father and I many times over the years to remind us he was thinking of us, connect and chat. Josh was not only handsome but brilliant. His kind heart was evident in all areas in his life. He was so compassionate and yes wanting to help others. As an empath myself Joshua and I share many similarities. I’m a Nurse and we often talked about medicine, treatment and what’s new … I want to think Chad was there with open arms. I know he helped build Josh a bike a few years before Chad died. They must be riding those golden roads… just laughing at being back together. As a mother who grieves pls know I’m available if you Mom or Dad want to connect. Loosing a child is a difficult grief to navigate. Take it 1 hr at a time. I’m so so sorry to you all. Joshua will be missed by us all xo
