SKUCE, Margaret Jeannette (née Roach) – Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the age of 91 years.
Beloved wife of Cecil Skuce. Loving mother of Lorraine Baker (Richard), Janet Chandler (Graeme) and Valerie Brousseau (Jean). Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Natasha, Melanie, and Megan. Great-grandmother of Ava, Atticus, Florence, and Louis. Predeceased by her parents, Harold Roach and Ruth Roach (née Gilbert), and by her siblings Joyce, Jean, and John.
Margaret was born in Chatham, Ontario and grew up in a close-knit family with her three siblings. She trained as a nurse and spent most of her career at the Royal Ottawa Hospital.
In 1959 she married Cecil Skuce, beginning a loving partnership that lasted 66 years. Margaret cherished her family and took great pride in her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In retirement, Margaret and Cecil volunteered for many years teaching English to newcomers to Canada.
Margaret will be remembered for her quiet kindness, her patience, and the steady care she showed to those around her.
