It is with profound love and sorrow that we share the loss of Judith (Judy) Rachel Adams. She passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, in Ottawa, at St. Vincent Hospital.
She was the devoted wife of Robert Leonard Adams, loving mother of Bronwyn Adams and Karen Adams and the proud, adoring grandmother of Micaella Adams-Kent, Rebekah Adams-Kent, Lucas Adams-Ormandy and Quinn Adams-Ormandy. Judy was the oldest sister to her siblings Robert Stone (Wendy), Peter Stone (deceased) (Cindy), Margaret Stone, Larry Stone (Elaine), John Stone (deceased) and Jennifer Everson (Terry).
Judy lived a life defined by love, warmth, empathy and quiet strength. She had a heart that felt everything deeply. She found happiness in simple things — time with family and friends, tending her garden, long hugs, good books, her cherished pets, quilting and sewing and peaceful days at the cottage. She was kind to everyone she met, a friend to all, and a safe place for anyone who needed warmth or understanding.
She was the dedicated mother, a doting grandmother, a cherished wife, a treasured sister and a loyal friend. Her gentle and nurturing spirit and compassionate heart will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring or summer, in her cherished garden — the place where she found so much peace and joy.
